I am having difficulty locating a BCA engine, there seems to be 1.4 16v motors available but with a different engine code. Any idea if I could use an engine with a different code? someone said there may be a problem with the ecu's? or
I have a 2006 TDI Golf that is still the MK4 body (4 door). It's a 5 speed manual that I've had about 6 months. When I got it all gears worked but it had the occasional clutch chatter. anyway getting back, i have a 2001 1.4 16v 105k ,which has a fault light lit, plugged VAGCOM on and it gives an EGR fault. i have removed the EGR valve and pipe gave them a quick clean ( not that bad really ) fault still present. there seems to be a lot said about TDi's but not about petrols ?
